AIMS & OBJECTS OF SAMAJAM
(as amended in 1983)

   
   
1.
To Promote Telugu Art, Culture and Literature through Lectures, Meetings, Performances.
2.
To be a center for all the Telugu people residing in Madras and its surroundings.
3.
To promote brotherhood and espirit de corpe among all Telugu people.
4.
To foster friendly and cordial relationship between the Telugu and non-Telugu people of the area.
5.
To strive to create or retain facilities for the Telugu children for instruction in their mother tongue in the educational institutions in Madras and its surroundings.
6.
To establish educational, academic, Technical and non-Technical and recreational institutions and to collect necessary fee as may be deemed necessary by the Management Committee from time to time.
7.
To encourage and afford facilities for all games.
8.
To co-ordinate the activities of the various Telugu Associations and Institutions having altogether or in part the same or similar objects as the Samajam and to co-operate with such Association or Institutions.
9.
To honour distinguished personalities.
10.
To establish and run a library and a reading room.
11.
To raise funds for the Samajam by subscriptions, donations or other means for the above objects.
12.
To hold and manage all funds raised for the objects of the Samajam.
13.
To purchase or acquire on lease or in exchange or on hire or by gift or otherwise of any real or personal property and any rights or privileges necessary or convenient for the purpose of the Samajam.
14.
To sell, improve, manage and develop all or any part of the property of the Samajam.
15.
To do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects and the development of the Samajam.
